COLUMBIA, Md., April 18, 2025 — Stanford Oliver, CEO of Camelot Secure (Camelot), a revolutionary cybersecurity company,  emphasized the critical need for proactive cybersecurity strategies and diverse talent pipelines during his speech at the 4th Annual North Carolina Partnership for Cybersecurity Excellence (NC-PaCE) Symposium on April 16.

In his session, “Forging Ahead in Cybersecurity: Vision, Diversity, and the Power of Purpose,” Oliver shared insights from his journey from boxing to the boardroom, focusing on resilience and adaptive leadership in cybersecurity.

“Today we must outperform the threats by being predictive,” Oliver told attendees, noting that adversaries increasingly use artificial intelligence to identify network vulnerabilities and automate attacks.

Oliver highlighted Camelot Secure’s unified platform approach to cybersecurity, which begins with comprehensive threat analysis and vulnerability assessment before implementing risk management strategies, including supply chain security. The company leverages AI as a cornerstone of its proactive security methodology.

Beyond technological solutions, Oliver advocated for his “Marshall Plan” to generate economic growth in urban areas by bringing tech companies back to the U.S. and encouraging investment in university research and development.

“We need to develop tech centers of excellence and educate the workforce so we can compete in the future,” he said.

Oliver has backed this vision with action, offering high school and college internships at Camelot Secure, collaborating with universities on cybersecurity projects, and mentoring 20 small businesses.

The NC-PaCE coalition brings together educational institutions, government agencies, and industry partners to address North Carolina’s cybersecurity needs while strengthening the state’s security ecosystem through specialized education, research, and services.
